Roll out the Red Carpet... 15 June, 2007

::clears throat:: ::taps on microphone::

Ladies and Gentlemen! Its time to roll out the Red Carpet...

::the crowd goes silent with anticipation::

...because here comes Famous Friends™! That's right, folks! Famous Friends™ has arrived and we're poised to become one of the most giving websites in the world today! We'd like to extend a huge thanks to Katie Marsh from www.thatisall.com for giving the website a running start and a standing ovation to Nicole from www.3kcreations.com and Computer Solutions for taking us home.

Auctions have yet to begin, but that doesn't mean we can't get the crowd buzzing.Take a peek at our mission, objectives and biographies to learn more about where we came from. Then, join our MySpace, and encourage your friends to check out the site! With enough support, it should be easy to convince the big-wigs that our goals are important ones! Thanks in advance for your support!

Dreams do come true 12 June, 2007

Welcome to Famous Friends™ official news blog. We're excited to be able to provide our visitors with real updates in real time! So, without further ado, here's the latest...

Since late March, Jenny, the Project Coordinator of Famous Friends™, has been mending a fairly serious back injury. Despite some fright, it's proved to be a blessing in disguise, as it has given her time to truly focus on the launch and operation of www.famousfriends.org. She, Kerrie (Project Assistant), and Nicole (Webmaster) have been glued to their respective computers, ironing out details as things finally begin to come together!

We must send a huge thank you to Ken Proudfoot at the RI MicroEnterprise Association. Ken has generously agreed to provide guidance and support in all business decisions, as we navigate an often-complicated corporate world.

Incorporation is actually our next big hurdle. Unfortunately, auctions can't officially begin until Famous Friends™ achieves 501(c)3 status. That's business-speak for we need to jump through the appropriate legal hoops in order to operate. Otherwise, we could face consequences from the Federal Government. Scary stuff!

As such, we are amidst preparing a press kit to share with local businesses, non-profits and you...the press kit will soon be available online in hopes to garner support for the project.
